Epidural Injections

Epidural injections are a a mixture of cortisone and local anaesthetic. They are put into the lower end of spine to ease sciatica pain. (It is not useful in backache due to Spondylosis.)

When you have a displaced disc which causes severe shooting pain down the back/side of the leg, epidural injections are very useful in relieving the severity of the pain while the disc heals itself.

For more information please speak to your GP practice.
